I have some announcements and resolutions I’d like to put in writing before I start this picture post. I’m going to number them because that’s how my brain works. Oh, and before you start reading please be warned that this is a boring ass post with pictures of my cat and family. Here goes..
- I’m on my way to becoming a vegetarian. I’ve decided to completely revamp my lifestyle and I’m committed to making myself as healthy as possible. I already eat all organic, but now it’s time to take it a step further. My body is a temple.
- To go along with the healthy eating, I have a strict workout schedule that I will be following starting today. I want to get my body back. The body I had years ago when I was magnificent. I will be doing 2 hours of yoga on Sundays and Saturdays; running Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays; bellydancing on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Oh, and 30 minutes of yoga first thing in the morning on weekdays.
- I have given up on my blog Coquettishly and From My Knees. I can’t keep up with all of these blogs. And I feel like I need a break from talking about sex. I’ve decided to put my clothes on around here. I know I’ll still be frank and uncensored about things, but I’m just so damned tired of the subject of sex. Seriously.
- Fresh Air Lover, this here blog, is NOT going away. I planned on deleting this blog and moving on, but I got a lot of emails asking me not to. I can’t tell you how humbled I was by these emails. I really didn’t think people cared that much. So, I’ll keep this here blog alive and well. And after thinking about it, I find that I need this space more than I thought.
- The Home Cook will stay where it is for now.
- I’m currently writing a book. Yeah, fun huh. The rough version will be available on a new blog called Too Many Brambles and Too Few Mulligans. The book is about my life, from start to now, and I have decided that for the time being I will allow people to read this blog but not to comment. Not yet, anyway.
I think that’s all. Here are the pictures.

He’s so cute, I can’t stand it.
The photos are too cute. I also have stockings for the dog and cat. They must have been good this year.
Also, I am SO glad that you are going to keep this blog.
Happy New Year, Debbie! Glad you’re sticking around.
I loved all the pictures and that you’re going to stick around.
Happy New Year!
Whoo Hoo love that you stuck around 🙂
On the yoga thing….I do a program on Fit TV everyday called Namasta Yoga. The first season is out on DVD so even if you don’t get Fit TV you might want to try it out 🙂 I also (well kind of fell of the wagon during the holidays) track my exercise and food on http://www.thedailyplate.com . It is free and there are some great groups over there.
Oh and super exciting that you are writing a book. We expect regular updates 🙂
glad the blog will stick around.
Happy new year and wishing you the best in all your “changes”!

Hey, I wish you all the best!
“I’ve decided to put my clothes on around here. I know I’ll still be frank and uncensored about things, but I’m just so damned tired of the subject of sex.”
Uh, what the hell?! heh. Clearly this is the sign of a woman who’s not getting enough of it. Ha!
Those kids are adorable and so photogenic. Glad you had a good holiday.
As a casual reader of two of your blogs, it seems that your transition away from sexual content has been underway for quite some time now. I look forward to reading whatever you have to offer in 2008.
looking forward to the book!
Thanks for sharing your gorgeous piccies!
I need to get off my fat ass and get into some yoga, walking or something!
Happy New Year!!
So glad you’re keeping this one going. I needs me my Debbie fix 🙂
Cute nephews could rule to world 😛
Good luck on the book. You probably know better than I how hard it can be, but I’ve got a very good feeling about yours.
So many comments:
Congrats on kicking your health into the next gear. I chose to be vegetarian in June and haven’t looked back. Good luck to you.
I am envious of your workout routine. It’s sooooo dark and soooo cold before I leave for work and when I get home. I just can’t bring myself to run in the winter. I am ga-ga for yoga now and bellydancing is so fun, yeah?
Glad to see you’re not abandoning FAL. Look forward to reading your story. And of course you must keep the food blog. You’re about to discover all new favorites. Must share!
Colin is getting SO big!! SO fast! And standing?!?!? It seems like your sister was just on bed rest a few weeks ago.
I need more siblings so I can have more nieces and nephews. I’m so jealous of Auntie Debbie.
And I’m jealous of pets! I need to move to another apartment that has a heart.
Happy New Year, Mama!
WOO HOO times 2!!!
First of all I absolutely love that you’re keeping this around! If I had known you might change your mind I certainly would have groveled more. I’ll keep this in mind next time. >:-P
Secondly, (please please don’t take this the wrong way or as criticism, maybe I’m just weird) I’ve always thought that sex was the least interesting thing about you. You know a hell of a lot about it, a lot more than me, so I don’t mean it in a bad way. I guess what I mean is that hypothetically speaking over the past 3-4 months if you’d updated twice since my last visit (I’ve been having monster computer and internet problems for several months now so this happened a lot) and one post was about sex and one was about something else, I would always read the nonsex one first and almost always enjoy it more.
I feel like I’m getting myself in hot water here so I’m just going to shut up and say that I’m loving your choices with this blog right now.
Love the pictures!! And love you more.
Whew! You were going to leave us??? I’m glad you chose to stick around. Yours was the first blog I ever read after Lex introduced me to the whole thing. You’re part of my history!
